Desert Botanical Garden

I am wanting to spend as much time as possible outside while the weather is still gorgeous and have wanted to check out the Desert Botanical Garden for some time now. It was well worth going! Lovely flowers, herbs, plants and Cacti! There was also a butterfly exhibit where you could go in an area that was enclosed and they would land on or near you. Ben kept trying to grab them, touch them and kept saying "Butterfly!" over and over, his enthusiasm had many people, of all ages, smiling!

Train park

We had another fun day a the train park, Ben is so brave and loves going down slides that are mainly for big kids, walking all around, up and down all of the playground equipment and LOVES trains!

Family visiting

James's cousin Mike came out to AZ for a Spring break vacation with his lovely wife Alison and their wonderful kids, Jenna, Lindsay and Luke so we got to see them at Auntie Grace's house for a great, big, fun lunch! Ben had bubble gum and rootbeer for the first time and Auntie Grace had cookies for decorating and Easter candy bags to take home. It simultaneously coordinated with James' Mom, Dad and Sister Julie coming for a visit and we were lucky enough to also get to see Aunt and Uncle. Lots of fun with the fam and lots of spoiling for our little man!

Water play

Since Ben likes to get in to absolutely EVERYTHING these days I have to keep him occupied and his new favorite thing is his water table. It's such fun to be outside with my little man and enjoy this gorgeous weather we're having!

The Farm at South Mountain

Since I have started gardening I like to read blogs that people have on gardening, particularly here in Arizona. One of the bloggers posted about this place called "The Farm at South Mountain" and I just had to check it out after she described the restaurants, gardens and farmers market so on Saturday we went out for lunch. I was impressed, 8 minutes outside of downtown phoenix there are some spectacular gardens, I know I will want to return!
